Recent highlights include a 2013 solo performance of Arvo Part’s “Tabula Rasa” with the Sydney Symphony, leading the orchestra with Gavin Bryars directing “jesus blood never failed me yet” at Canberra International Music Festival and ACO quartet’s “Black Angels” at MonaFoma. In 2014, Veronique joins Sydney Dance Company on stage with J.S Bach’s Partita N.2 in D Minor, which she has recorded as her “debut” album. Previous appearances with Sydney Dance include “Cacti” (2013) and “Shared Frequencies”(2011).

An avid chamber musician, Veronique is a member of “the Noise” (an impro based string quartet) and Ensemble Offspring. She has appeared as a guest with Synergy, Pinchgut, Ironwood, Acacia Quartet, Omega Ensemble and in the Rivendell Recital Series. Veronique has always loved going electric! From 2010-12 she lived “on the road” touring internationally with singer/harpist Joanna Newsom as both lead violin & backing vocalist. She is a founding member of CODA, co-writing much of the bands early material. Her most recent release (with the Noise) is “composed NoiSe” featuring 7 Australian composers commissioned to write for “improvising string quartet”. Looking forward to performing these soon!

A regular in Sydney’s recording studios, Veronique can be heard on many Australian albums and feature films, often directing the string section. In 2013/14 she led the orchestra for Cinematic Orchestra, Sarah Blasko and Giorgio Moroder’s Sydney Opera House shows. In 2014 she leads string quartets for Damon Albarn, Missy Higgins and Katie Noonan. Her film credits include “the black balloon”, “mental”, “the turning”, “around the block”, “the rocket” and “red obsession”.
